Hello dear friends!

Due to the pandemic situation caused by this Corona virus sweeping across the world, we have made a decision to cancel our upcoming seminar in Saint-Petersburg. Whether we think a mountain is being made out of a molehill or that the chances of contracting the virus are near to nothing, the fact remains that action is being taken to stem the risk of infection. Schools are shutting, meetings are being cancelled, and many strict measures are being implemented.

We believe in the principle "Prevention is better than cure!"

WE'RE GOING ONLINE INSTEAD OF THE SEMINAR IN S.PETERSBURG!

  • WEBINAR: Motivating your students as well as yourself - the teacher

WEBINAR

MOTIVATING YOUR STUDENTS AS WELL AS YOURSELF - THE TEACHER

Four highly experienced and qualified speakers are going to answer all of those points for you. We understand that motivating your students starts with yourself and the character you project.

And believe me, ladies and gentlemen - that can be taught!

In addition, you’ll be taught how to be genuine when giving feedback to your students so that their confidence sky-rockets even during the rocky exam period.

Here at TRT we will not only bombard you with relevant and empirical theory but you, the audience, will be actively participating.

The choice of material you use to conduct your mid-level progress test can make or break your students. You know you need to make use of the space in your classroom, and you do, but you don’t notice those non-verbal micro expressions you project which come across as defensive without knowing it. You praise your students for their effort but they still remain indifferent and you have no clue why. You are acutely aware that the role of a good teacher includes, among other things, being an entertainer: you put on an eccentric show, you try to be enthusiastic but your students just aren’t going that extra mile. And again, you have no idea why.

BRINGING UP A MATURE LANGUAGE PERSONALITY

In her seminar "Bringing up a Mature Language Personality" Elena will give her take on the role of an EFL teacher in the modern world as well as talking about students' independence in terms of English. In addition, Elena will share her ways of developing the feel of the language and conduct a useful lexical activity.

AUSTIN WOOD

THE SCIENCE OF ACHIEVEMENT

In his talk “The Science of Achievement” Austin will synthesize ideas from psychology, personal development, and systems engineering to provide us with a comprehensive formula for reaching success in any endeavour, with a focus on foreign language acquisition.

ELENA PLINER

BUILDING MOTIVATION AND A SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT FROM EARLY AGES

In her talk "Building motivation and a sense of achievement from early ages" Elena will talk about psychological aspects that are crucial for successful learning and how to develop winning strategies from early ages.

EVGENIA MOLNAR

MOTIVATING THROUGH FEEDBACK

Giving a smiley-face is not enough to maintain motivation among your students. Neither is marking leniently because you feel sorry for your students. Evgenia will go into detail on how to provide constructive criticism in a way which students understand is genuine and sincere. You will look at how to praise good work and when, the traps teachers fall into and how to maintain motivation when work is below par.

PAUL NEWSON

MOTIVATING THE TEACHER

You can acquire every teaching certificate under the sun and learn 100 teaching approaches by heart. But none of that will make the slightest bit of difference if you, the teacher, are unable to inspire and motivate. This seminar will show you how to build your charisma and confidence to give you food for thought. When you beam with confidence, you’ll find you’ll motivate your students without even trying as well as making your life as a teacher inherently easier.
